HAIRSTYLES

I am going crazy trying to find a hairstyle that is easy to maintain but still looks nice at work. I am getting tired of doing my hair every morning.  Today, I was in the supermarket and saw a young woman with a beautiful hairstyle called Kinky Twists.  I think I want to try out that style.  What do you think?

Busy Year but looking forward to Chi-Town

I have not made a post since the first week of January.  Since then I was hospitalized, out of work, back to work, feeling better and getting ready for my birthday which is Valentine's Day.  Yes what a start to 2011.

What's on my radar for this year? I thought you'd never ask...lol

I have a NEW cell phone.....FINALLY

I finally took the time to get my cell phone serviced.  After 3 1/2 hours, I had a new phone with most of my information on it.  I did not enjoy the experience I had at Sprint since the service took much longer than I was originally quoted but I am happy to have a new phone!

I Was Here

A beautiful song by Beyonce that I have fell in love with. This is part of my wish list for life:

Beyonce - I Was Here (Live at Roseland)

I wanna leave my footprints on the sands of time
Know there was something that, and something that I left behind
When I leave this world, I'll leave no regrets Leave something to remember, so they won't forget
I was here I lived, I loved I was here I did, I've done, everything that I wanted
And it was more than I thought it would be
I will leave my mark so everyone will know I was here
I want to say I lived each day, until I die
And know that I meant something in, somebody's life
The hearts I have touched, will be the proof that I leave
That I made a difference, and this world will see
I was here I lived, I loved I was here I did, I've done, everything that I wanted
And it was more than I thought it would be I will leave my mark so everyone will know
I was here I lived, I loved I was here I did, I've done, everything that I wanted
And it was more than I thought it would be I will leave my mark so everyone will know I was here
I just want them to know That I gave my all, did my best
Brought someone to hapiness Left this world a little better just because
I was here
I was here I lived, I loved I was here I did, I've done, everything that I wanted
And it was more than I thought it would be
I will leave my mark so everyone will know I was here x2

Happy New Year

Another year is here and I am excited! 2011 was a year of growth and learning for me and I want to continue on that path in 2012.  I learned about my listening abilities, strength in times of adversity, better reasoning skills (still working on this), realized I have a very low tolerance level for certain things and I will say I definitely grew in my relationships with my loved ones especially my boyfriend.  He has taught me so much about myself.

2011 was a year of ups and downs with my mom and dad's health.  It was challenging but through all the half days/off days at work, I am happy they are both here with me for another New Year.  This was my family's first whole year without my little cousin Sam, who died unexpectedly last year.  It was a trying time but on the anniversary of his death, I did not cry but I celebrated his life.  Thanking God for my aunt and uncle who have been pillars of strength during this time.

Here's a pic of my mom, dad, aunt and uncle before my dad's illness and before my cousin died. I am named after my aunt Kathy who is hugging my mom and dad.

In 2011, I also learned and grew a lot in my Sorority, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.  I am looking forward to continuing my humble service to this great Sisterhood in 2012.

Christmas 2011

Merry Christmas All

What a wonderful day to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.  This year for Christmas, I am cooking breakfast for my family.  The menu includes waffles, potatoes and onions. turkey bacon, ham, turkey sausage, eggs, grits and fruit.  I truly hope my family enjoys the meal I will prepare for them.

If a Man Wants YOU!

http://www.divinecaroline.com/22065/35337-wants

The article is self explanatory and really dives into a much debated topic.  I will let the article speak for itself but I totally enjoyed reading some refreshing material on dating.
